ALAIN RIOU got nominated for the 2014 Billabong XXL Awards for his recent performance in Tahiti. On Tuesday May 14th, Quiksilver’s Tahitian surfer took one the greatest waves of a day blessed by a fantastic swell by riding perfectly a 20 feet monster wave.

Not to be missed, Hawaiian Quiksilver surfer Koa Rothman’s huge wave (at 9’30’’ in the video) which allowed him to get among the Awards nominees. He got towed in by Laird Hamilton.
